KeymanWeb is a lightweight JavaScript application designed to provide a seamless and consistent experience for all users. It is flexible, portable, fully Unicode compliant, and works with all major browsers. KeymanWeb uses the same keyboard layouts and input methods as the market-leading multilingual input tool Keyman Desktop.
We offer a range of standard user interfaces, or we can custom develop one to suit your specific application. The user interface can be configured with a single keyboard, a limited choice or all keyboards that are currently available in our library. If a keyboard you require is not available, it can easily be added. Using Keyman Developer, you or we can create keyboards for any other language that may not be currently in our library of keyboards.
KeymanWeb temporarily redefines the key assignments on the physical keyboard, allowing rapid typing for those users accustomed to a given layout. In addition to this, users can input text by clicking on the On Screen Keyboard, which can also be resized, moved and pinned to a location anywhere on the display. Keyboard usage help and notes are always on hand to help users not familiar with a given keyboard layout.
Requiring just a few lines of code, KeymanWeb is easy to implement in your site. Most developers will find our hosted subscription service meets their needs, while for more advanced and larger sites, we offer the ability to host the service on your own servers and fully customise the installation. All aspects of the KeymanWeb interface can be controlled to ensure it works smoothly with your website.
Two editions of KeymanWeb are currently available, depending on your requirements. The Subscription Edition makes it quick and easy for a developer to integrate KeymanWeb into their application. The Professional Edition suits those who wish to fully customize the user application or require the service to be hosted on their own servers.
