# Some key combinations break under Keyman 7.1   2009-08-11 23:48:32.500
James Brennan
Hello,

I've been using Keyman 7.0 with the Ezra SIL Unicode 2.4 Hebrew keyboard for over a year. Keyman is a great programme!

However, I recently accepted an automatic update to Keyman 7.1. As a result, at least two Hebrew key combinations stopped working. (I haven't tested others.) The problems are:
Left Alt + Shift + = --> U+25CC
Left Alt + Shift + | --> U+05AB

These combinations worked under Keyman 7.0, but not under 7.1. These are common characters, which is frustrating. I've since rolled back to Keyman 7.0, and these combinations work again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

James.

Hi James,

Thank you for reporting this issue. We will test it here. Can you tell us which version of Windows you are running? In fact, if you can also send us a diagnostic report (http://tavultesoft.com/kb?id=40) that would be most helpful.

Regards,

Thanks for your reply, Marc.

I'm using Windows XP SP3.

I've just sent a diagnostic report (#20899), with the same title as this forum topic.

Thanks,

James.

We have been testing this issue here. Can you try one thing for us: go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Languages tab, Details button, Key Settings button, Change Key Sequence button, and turn off the options "Switch input languages" and "Switch keyboard layouts"?

Does this resolve the problem for you?
