If you do not have internet access, there is a manual activation option provided on the Activate Tavultesoft Keyman Desktop window.
After entering in the licence code you received when purchasing Keyman Desktop, click on the Manual Activation link in the Activate Tavultesoft Keyman Desktop window.
The following window will be displayed.

The manual activation process is divided into three steps:
Save Activation Request
Send the Request to Tavultesoft or an agent
Load Activation Response
Save Activation Request
To Clipboard | When this option is selected there is no visible confirmation. The activation request data is sent to the Windows clipboard, where it will remain until another item is copied. This method can be useful for pasting directly into an email (see step 2). |
To Removable Disk | If the computer that has Keyman Desktop installed does not have internet access then the information can be saved to one of the removable disks available. The activation request data can then be transferred to another computer that does have internet access via the removable disk. When this option is selected a list of drives is displayed. Select the drive and click . A .KER (Keyman Activation Request) file is saved to the removable disk along with the Keyman Activation Utility to process that file via the Tavultesoft servers. |
To File | If the computer that has Keyman Desktop installed does not have internet access then the information can be saved to a selected location on a local or network drive. This information can then be accessed from another computer with internet access. When this option is selected the Save Activation Response to Disk dialog box is displayed. Select a location. Enter a filename. Click on . A .KER (Keyman Activation Request) file is saved to the selected location. |
Send the Request to Tavultesoft or a Tavultesoft Agent
Once you have the activation request data on a computer with internet/email access, send an email to:
<support@tavultesoft.com>.
This email MUST contain the activation request data in the body or the .KER file as an attachment.
When the request is saved to a removable disk, the Keyman Activation Utility (tsactivate.exe) will also be put onto the disk. This program, when run on a computer with internet access, will process the .KER file via the Tavultesoft servers, which in turn will generate a .KES Response file to be transferred back to the original computer (see step 3).
Load Activation Response
After the activation request is processed by the Tavultesoft servers, an activation response is sent back (via email or via the Keyman Activation Utility). This can then be used to activate Keyman Desktop on your computer.
From Clipboard | If you have received an Activation Response via email, you can activate Keyman Desktop by copying the Response data to the Windows clipboard and then selecting this method. |
From Removable Disk | If you used the Removable Disk method in step 1 and used the Keyman Activation Utility to process the Activation Request, you can load the Activation Response directly from the removable disk using this method. When this option is selected a list of drives is displayed. Select the removable disk drive and click . |
From File | If you have received an activation response as a .KES (Keyman Activation Response) file, you can activate Keyman Desktop using this method. Browse to the .KER file you have received, select it, and click . |
